I am not sure how this might assist but I have just come across a
fascinating article by Stuart Rees in Australian Journal of Social
Work , June 95, 48/2 called Biographies of Youth: implications for
empowerment. In this he describes a study of homeless youths in
Sydney, using Jungian insights derived from studies of alchemy, along
with social work literature on one, two and three dimensional ways of
exercising power. It seems to connect with some of the points made in
this debate so far.
