Dear pcp-networkers!

I would like to introduce myself to the members of pcp-network. I
have to admit, that I'm not that new to the list, since I have been
'one of these passive listeners' for about half a year now. But now I feel
courageous enough to have a try. (I hope you don't misunderstand me:
in general, things don't take me half a year before I do them!)

I'm working as a research assistant and lecturer at the 'Institute
of Medical Psychology' at the University of Giessen, Germany.

In research I am concerned with health psychology and (of course)
pcp. At the moment I'm doing my Phd on smoking as a risk-behavior and
my main interest is to explore this behavior and its implications for
the individual and his / her construct-system from a pcp-perspective.

The psychological components of smoking have been analysed from
various psychological perspectives. Since recent research has shown
that there seem to be more differences within the group of smokers
than between smokers and non-smokers, there has been the claim for a
more individualistic access to explore 'reasons' for smoking.

Using a modification of Repertory Grid Technique and the
laddering-procedure, I am trying to explore how smokers construe
themselves as 'smokers' and the implications of this construing for their
whole construct-system. Furthermore I am looking for differences to
the construing of non-smokers.

If anybody likes to have further information about my work, don't
hesitate to contact me via email. You'll see my adress below.

In the context of my search for relevant literature, I recently found
an article from Peter Lynch (University of Reading, GB) who worked
on the topic of smoking in adolescents using a pcp-access.
I'd like to contact him, but I couldn't find an (email-)adress in the net.

It would be great if anybody could help me to find his adress, so
that I'm able to contact him!

Greetings and thank you in advance!!
