Bill,

I have downloaded your note and spent about 20 minutes studying it.
I'll need to spend some more time if I am to get a feel for the math and
have a sense of why things are as you suggest. I am tempted just to
assume that thee is the polarization that you suggest however, for now,
because I am missing some essential framework that would motivate me to
spend the extra time.

I need to know what these numbers are about, in some general sense.
It is the "core" of what? Right now, it seems like something you are very
enthusiastic about, and you seem like an intelligent man, but that only
inspires me for 20 minutes. I need, and perhaps others do to, something a
bit more than that to invest more of my "precious time". All I need is a
general overview that shows me what I'll learn if I do so. Can you give
me that?
