As the deadline for proposals nears, there have been a few questions and
minor problems that I would like to clarify.
To submit a proposal please include a 50 words abstract, title, author,
and institutional affiliation. Please request the type of format you would
prefer (poster, paper, demo, workshop, symposia, or plenary) and request an
amount of time ( most paper will be 30 minutes). An extended proposal may
also be included (up to 2000 words) if you feel the short abstract would not
be detail enough to really explain what you wish to present. This is really
not a major issue for most 30 minute papers. I think we should be able to
accommodate most of these presentations. I am just a bit concerned about
available time for the other presentation formats. The additional information
would help.
You may submit your proposal through the web -site, fax or surface mail. For
those of you submitting through a fax you may encounter a problem if you submit
it at night. Although our fax is always on, it does run out of paper
occasionally. I have alerted our secretary to fill the paper before leaving.
If you encounter any problems please call or e-mail me. I am working on
another solution to this.
I will be contacting people by mid-April. In order to speed up this
process ,I would like you to send me an e-mail address if possible, surface
mail address and phone number.
So far it looks like we will have a very interesting list of presenations. If
