Dear Jackie,
Your area of application is an interesting one and entirely appropriate for
PCP approaches. My own inclination here would be to try to elicit elements
from the parents which in turn would enable you to elicit constructs about
LEARNING. Therefore, you might wish to ask parents to think of examples of
learning situations or tasks they are aware of in which their child
responded positively, examples of sitautions which were challenging to
their child. Perhaps you might also include similar questions about
parents' own learning experiences. These should without too much
difficulty yield 6-10 elements which you could use to generate relevant
constructs about learning.
