Server Statistics for psyctc.sghms.ac.uk

produced by MediaHouse IIS Assistant which I have to advise people against purchasing. Their first version crashed the service at midnight from time to time if you were unlucky and they offer NO utilities to merge statistics so as I changed the location of the program when I upgraded I lose all my old data (see statistics to 12.xi.96) and have to rewrite the explanations on this so they make sense for the new data. Not impressed!

Dunno what sort of within-month trends you might expect to see unless
some 'bots are scheduled by the date in the month. However, if that's
the case, MediaHouse are giving you & me the chance to see it!

What strikes me as at 11.iii.97 is that the rate of user accesses, page hits, and kilobytes transferred are all climbing markedly. The server downtime around Christmas is also pretty obvious as are a few ill-behaved robot visits or browser malfunctions before that (I've found that Netscape on either of my NT machines will occasionally get stuck in a loop issuing "get" or perhaps "head" calls for the page it's got and is showing you).
