Dear Luis, It was a great conference. The plenaries were all of the highest
standard. I learned a great deal, and have some hard thinking to do in the
wake of the many ideas that we heard. It was wonderful to see so many
students and academics from Barcelona and from Spain. The simultaneous
translation made that possible. It was well worth the effort. Thanks to the
translation I could at least begin to understand Professor Villegas' talk.
It was impressive and moving as only a gifted intellectual and a sensitive
person can make it. Please thank him especially for me. Only one thing made
me feel a little uncomfortable - and that was the fact that education seemed
to be very much a side issue. The usefulness of PCP in education - for
research, for teaching - should not, I think be shoved aside. I imagine that
the interest of your people was mostly in aspects of therapy. So that is
understandable. I hope that this is not a sign of the future of PCP. One
technicality: We did not get a list of the participants and their addresses.
Would it be possible - when you get back, to get a list off the computer and
to send it out to us? Or, perhaps to supply it to whoever requests one? All
the best to you, your wife and the baby - and to the whole committee, Devorah
