Dear Aaron:
The problem yo described strikes me in many ways as similar to what Thomas and
Harri-Augstein faced (Exploring learning with the grid [1985] in Beail, ed.
Repertory grid technique and personal constructs: Applications in clinical and
educational settings. CAmbridge: Brookline.) Essentially, they did a content
analysis of elicited constructs to facilitate comparisons across grids. If
either of the authors is on the list (or anyone more familiar with the
techniques used) please forgive my simplistic explanation of a very
sophisticated interpretive approach (they were dealing with individual elements
as well!) Any insight into further exploration of this sort of technique would
be of interest to at least 2 of us here.
