I am looking for information and ideas around developing an
education/treatment program for individuals who have been charged with
Driving While Impaired. At present in British Columbia I do not know of
such a course being offered. I am especially interested in using a
"motivational interviewing style" for the program. I would be interested in
hearing from anyone who is doing such work or any ideas that you may have
around what would make a program such as this successful. This program
could be in-residence or out-of-residence. At present I am considering a
program that focuses primarily on the Driving While Imparied Behaviour
rather than on drinking behaviour. My guess is these clients would be less
resistant to this approach than an approach that focuses on their drinking
behaviour. Of course individuals would be given the opportunity to explore
their drinking behaviour as well.

Thanks in advance for your input.
