there is a nice treatment of the "dichotomy problem" in the following
book (with papers from the European PCP Conference 1984):
Joern W. Scheer, Ana Catina (Eds.): Empirical Constructivism in
Europe. Giessen: Psychosozial Verlag (1996)
with two controversial chapters referring to the problem:
- Ana Catina: The dichotomy corollary as a fundamental brick in the
construction of PCT (pp. 66-69)
- Rainer Riemann: The dichotomy corollary: basic or superfluous? (pp.
70-77).
