I'm away next week (6th - 12th) but back from then 'til April.
I've been through the data and output listing you FTPed to me before
'Xmas. Sorry to have taken so long. I've gone through the data files
and compiled a sort of prototype report that I'd be looking for from
Nawal for each measure/site. It's actually only part of the full
report as I've made no attempt to link with the demographic
information partly as I couldn't remember whether that was complete
for these BAI data and site 2 and partly as I couldn't make much
of the hundreds of rather cryptic variable labels on the demographic
data. So, Nawal/Janice - can you combine to make a relabelling set
of instructions for SPSS that will save the demographic variables
with sensible variable names and with variable labels stored? When
you've got that right it should be usable for every other site/q'aire
combination provided you remember to change the file names so it's
not as much of a pain as it sounds. Save the old files in a RAW_DATA
subdirectory and replace them with the relabelled ones (you'll see
similar instructions in the DOC file I'll send separately about
renaming the BAI variables from Q1 Q2 ... Q10 Q11 ... Q21 to BAI01
BAI02 ... BAI10 BAI11 ... BAI21.
The other thing I haven't tackled is the time changes. You'll see
that's because I wasn't sure of the SESS1 and SESS2 variables but
it's also 'cos it needs a lot more thought which I grudge while I'm
not sure of the variables so we'll take that up after the 12th when
I'm back.
I think everything else in the DOC file is self-explanatory. Can you
make sure you go through all the points so we can take them up when
I'm back?!
How's the rest of the data entry/cleaning going?
Best wishes,
Chris
