Hi Janice,

I really liked the look of that "mock up" page.

In the light of feedback so far, Michael and I have suggested a few
changes which should be incorporated in the OHP for the BAC meeting
tomorrow (Janice?!).

We have sorted out the hi/low and pos/neg balancing. All the
symptom and the risk items are now negative in direction (seems
reasonable) and the SWB and the Social/Life items both spilt 50:50
into pos and neg. That makes splitting into the two short forms
easier.

All the SWB items go into both short forms. Half each from the
symptom and social/life items go into each and only the high risk
items go into the short forms so everyone gets:
"plans..."
"have hurt myself..."
and one of:
"physically violent..."
or
"threatened and ..."

That gives 19 items in each short form. Added to that will be an
item tapping direction of change:

"Compared to last week, I have felt"
Scored on a Visual Analogue Scale (Janice, is this something FORMIC
handles, if not, we'll have to work out another system).

To give a nice round 20 in each short form. The last one makes it
easy to do some checking of how the individual items behave against
that overview.

Rating will be on a 5 point scale:
"Not at all",
"Occasionally"
"Sometimes"
"Often"
"All the time"

(I think we still need to think carefully about how well that sits
with each item, I still prefer the anchoring by numbers of days!)

This'll have to do for the BAC meeting overheads for Michael
(Janice!), final version early next week so feedback to the list
please for Monday.

Here's this penultimate list of items:

P.S. to Frank/Graeme -- yes, we got suggested positive items. _MANY_
thanks for all suggested alternatives/positives etc. Sorry if
personal favourites aren't in there at the moment. Still time for a
last bid!
