Thought we had better give you a run down of what has been happening
over the last week or so. Whilst Michael has been on holiday, Chris
and I have been doing some final 'tweaking' to the items. Over last
weekend we each gave it to as many 'non-psychology' persons as we
could. As a result of this, alterations have been made to the
wording of a few items, to avoid misunderstandings (double negatives
etc). The ordering has also changed so that the response to one item
does not affect the next.
Michael is now anxious that we have some data available for the
August bid, as MHF looking for theimplementation of a 'developed'
measure. We have therefore written to the sites who helped us with
the data collection regarding this + their willingness to pilot with
referential measures from mid August (letter attached word+word
perfect versions). As this is very short notice, we are not sure
what our success rate will be for this initial data. Is there any
chance that you might be able to boost the numbers by administering
it to some Manchester clients? I believe Chris is also going to
contact you on Monday to see if you know any of the
practitioners well enought to assert some influence! I have attached
a list of contacts.
I am going to fax this message + a copy of the latest version of
CORE-FV1 (final version 1) and the two short forms (only for use by
Wakefield and Pontefract at the moment), just in case you are having
probs with EMail again
I have popped some 'hot off the press' laser copies of the measure in
the post which you should get Monday. The photocopies are due back
from print services on Tuesday.
I've also attached an Excel file giving the breakdown of the items
Must dash
Give me a ring if anything needs clarifying
Bye for now
