Dr. Paul is a first generation Family Therapist whose distinguished career in Family Therapy includes an award winning book written with his late wife, Betty, in 1975, "A Marital Puzzle". A founder and innovator within the field, he led multi-family therapy groups as early as 1970. He pioneered the use of audio and videotape feedback in family therapy sessions. Above all he is known for his use of emotional material in therapy, starting in 1965 with a classic paper describing "operational mourning". Dr. Paul is also widely known as an empathic therapist, the Family Therapist family therapists would choose for themselves!
Dr. Paul visited the Prudence Skynner Clinic in 1995. He decided he would like to join the teaching and clinical team for a sabbatical visit to the U.K. During his stay Dr. Paul will be offering short courses, workshops, clinical supervision group(s) and consultation observation slots.
