CLINICAL PRACTICUM IN FAMILY THERAPY

This course provides the opportunity to practice and develop systemic theory within a team of four members with a family therapy consultant. Clinical work will be undertaken with individuals, couples and families referred to the clinic. Participants will be offered the opportunity to undertake a piece of supervised teaching.

Applications are invited from people with experience equivalent to Qualifying or Intermediate Training in Family Therapy. The course is multidisciplinary and participants will need to be working with individuals, couples or families in their current work situation.

Supervised hours will be formally accredited for CV and registration requirements.

The time commitment is thirty half day meetings (of 4 hours) over the academic year i.e. three 10 week terms, commencing January 1996. Day of the week to be arranged with the team members. Reading, small written tasks and the supervised teaching will be undertaken outside the clinical hours.
