It’s where, well, at the annual meeting of the UK chapter in about 1986, I found my initial collegiate home. I guess partly because those aspirations chimed with mine but also because the conference was both good quality and <\/em>fun. The fun issues is still marked by the annual international meeting being named a “meeting” not a “conference” but the fun …. hm, not so much these days I’d say. However, perhaps that reflects a societal change as well as my growing old and grumpy!
