In general, I try to resist concepts changing their names, life is confusing enough if we only have one name per idea!  However, I haven&#8217;t been given the power to insist on this (!) and, to be honest, this is one renaming that seems to me to be more accurate than the original name!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to be confused with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psyctc.org\/psyctc\/glossary2\/minimal-important-difference-mid-mcid\/\" title=\"\">Minimal Important Change<\/a> (and <em>its <\/em>own synomyms).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Try also<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psyctc.org\/psyctc\/glossary2\/minimal-important-difference-mid-mcid\/\" title=\"\">Minimal Important Change<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psyctc.org\/psyctc\/glossary2\/reliable-change-index-rci\/\" title=\"\">Reliable Change Index (RCI)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chapters<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Not covered in the OMbook as we hadn&#8217;t come across the RCC for the RCI at the time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online resources<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/shiny.psyctc.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Interactive shiny apps<\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>App that gives you the RCI (Reliable Change Index) <a href=\"https:\/\/shiny.psyctc.org\/apps\/RCI1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">for given baseline score SD, reliability and the inclusion interval you want (usually .95, i.e. 95%)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/shiny.psyctc.org\/apps\/RCI2\/\">App which extends that to give you a plausible interval around that RCI<\/a>&nbsp;using the confidence interval for the SD given your <em>n<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dates<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>First created 13.ii.25, updated with links to Minimal Important Change 30.vii.25.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just another name and acronym for the RCI: Reliable Change Index.
