This is just to confirm that the AFT, ATC, Sign-speak, Counsel.Lit
and SPR(UK)sg lists are back up and working.
They will continue to feed into their respective WWW archives.
However, for the AFT and the sign-speak lists, the indices of the
archives are hopelessly corrupt. This clearly started some time
back and it's not feasible for me to reconstruct them by hand and
the level of artificial IQ that would be needed of a program to do it
would be high, more than I can give one! I will find some way of
putting
up good search interfaces to the archives when I can find the time.
The problems appear to have resulted from a failing interrupt
controller on the motherboard of the computer which has now
revealed its guilt by failing completely hence the transfer to another
machine. A new motherboard is on order (my secretary
commented wryly: "A
motherboard eh, you need a good family therapist you do!")
Sorry for the interruption of the lists. Thanks to all those who sent
them for the reassuring messages and virtual support thoughts!
Best wishes,
Chris
