The post I did back the evening of 23.viii.16 is light on punctuation but still feels a fair enough bit of reminiscing.
Looking at the map above, there are some little spurs and loops in Saint-Jean suggesting that I was having arguments with Gurgle maps. Ten years on, well back a the end of 2025 and early 2026 I was very keen on Saint-Jean as somewhere to move to from the Alps. It's a lovely town. However, in the end Rairie won! The only think I think I remember with some certainty about the day was some relief to get near Royan and to feel that I was now very definitely moving into parts of France that I had never visited before.
