- I stopped updating it in late October 2022 partly because the company that developed the plugin, 10web, moved it from free to paid for and did not make it easy to transfer the data to some other plugin. Typical first stage enshittification.
- Around the same time Gurgle decided to complain, itermittently, that the data wasn’t formatted as it thought it should be, no human was complaining. Another fine example, very Gurgle, of its ways of enshittification.
- Most recently, earlier in 2026 misbehaved robots started ignoring my robots.txt file and wasting huge amounts of their energies, and my server’s workload scouring every date back to the 19th Century. These are probably not the old robots we have had for years that accumulate data for the big internet search systems like Gurgle, Bing and others, most of which actually obey the robots.txt system in my experience. These are almost certainly new robots being used to hoover the web for material for “AI” and LLMs (Large Language Models). Perfect “AI” era enshittification.
So, with regrets as it might occasionally have been useful to someone, I have now made it private so only I can use it (when I want to see if it can help my memory of what I was doing when).
