These are generally here to provide data to play with in my shiny apps. They will most often be CSV (comma separated variables) format but may include other formats.
- wide2.csv: a simulated dataset with variables and data that might have been collected in a therapy service collecting baseline and last scores on measures. Variables include participant and therapist ID, gender, age, name of measure used at baseline with mean and “clinical” score, ditto for measure used at termination, dates and session and week counts.
- Data for shiny app (https://shiny.psyctc.org/apps/Forest_plot_rates/) from the Therapy Meets Numbers website specifically from the Does brief therapy yield better outcomes? post.
- TMN_counts.csv: the original counts from Barry’s post.
TMN_counts_x20.csv has the same improvement rates but multiplied the counts by 20 to illustrate, if fed into the same shiny app, how the 95% confidence intervals tighten and the statistical significance grows as counts increase. - TMN_counts_sim.csv: a purely simulated dataset covering a longer range of years (1990 to 2025) with total number of therapies with change scores varying randomly between 50 and 82 by year and improvement rate varying randomly between .35 and .89 per year.
- TMN_counts.csv: the original counts from Barry’s post.
